Do Ghosts harm People ?

     There has been instances where ghost have injured people but, it is extremely rare. People have been injured from flying or moving objects. Most people are harmed from running away from a haunting than actually being hurt directly by a ghost.

Do Ghosts follow people ?

    Ghost can follow people from one place to another but, it is very rare. Ghost follow people home for a reason and not because they like a person. Ghosts are usually tied to the location that they are at for different reasons. The Ghost would only follow a person if it was connected to the person for some reason. As said earlier, it is extremely rare.

Why do ghosts wear cloths.

    There are different theories about this from different ghost hunters. I believe that when the body's energy leaves upon the time of death, the persons personality transcends with it. I also feel that in this personality his conception as how he appears goes along with it. The ghosts looks as he would if he were a civil war soldier or a soldier from any era. It may be the little old lady from the 1800s or the early 19th century. The appearance fits the time he /she existed.

Are ghosts evil ?

Our clergy would like us to believe so. They connect ghosts to evil because biblical history tells us that communicating with ghosts is a sin. So, being they teach this, people automatically believe that ghosts are evil. If a person was gentle in life they will be in death. If they were not very nice in life, they won't be nice in death. Becoming a ghost doesn't change the personality.

What about ORBs?

Well, orbs have been controversial and  pretty much ,debunked,and for one, I don't think they have a thing to do with ghosts. Lights, now, are a different subject. I have seen numerous experiments that paranormal investigators have conducted that has pretty much proven that they are dust specks, moisture, pollen and other light sources among other sources.

Experiments have been conducted on a number of places where there was absolutely no reason for being haunted and hundreds of orbs were found. I know folks get excited when they capture an orb on their camera but, I'm sorry, your getting excited for nothing.

How do I know if I have a haunting.

There is no way without having a investigative team come in and check for you but,  here are some hints that could suggest that you may have but, by no means, does this mean you do !!

First of all, no, we don't think your crazy! This is usually the first thing that comes from a client's mouth.

Do you think you have seen one?

Do you hear footsteps where no one is around?

Do you hear knocking or rapping
sounds?

Do you feel cold spots?

Do lights, electrical appliances, water faucets turn on or off unassisted?

Do you think you have seen items move unassisted or notice them in a different place?

Do things seem to disappear and turn up in odd places?

Do you think you have heard door knobs turn or jiggle unassisted?

Has doors opened or closed unassisted?

Due you smell odors that are out of place or remind you of a deceased friend or loved one?

Do you see shadows moving about?

Do you see motion out of the corner of you eye?

Do you hear unexplained whispers or voices?

These are not, by all means, all inclusive due to the fact that ghosts can manifest themselves in many ways and there are no set of rules but, these are some of the more common ones.

Even though you have experienced some of the above things, this by no means says you have a haunting.This is what paranormal researchers do. They take a history of the experience, talk to witnesses and then eliminate any and all natural causes. In the majority of the cases, these experiences can be explained away.

Do Ghosts only come out at night ?

    No, I believe that ghosts are the personality and energy of a deceased human that transcended at the time of their death. With this in mind, I believe that they still carry on as they did when alive. They move around when ever they get the notion meaning day or night.

Are children more sensitive to Ghosts ?

    Case histories suggest that children are more sensitive to Ghosts and haunted locations. Children's belief system is not as developed as an adults. They don't have a foregone conclusion that they done exist their screening process does not block out the unexplained. Case studies have suggested that some children's imaginary friends are ghosts but, for the most part imaginary friends are exactly that.

Are animals sensitive to Ghosts ?

    Case studies suggest that they are. This is more so with dogs and cats, thats not to say however, that other animals are not. Animals can hear and see things that humans can't. One case study tells of a dog at a house alleged to be haunted that sets and stares, turns his head and other things as if someone is playing with him and he is alone in the room.

Why do ghost hunters have so many gadgets?

    Ghost hunting in this day and age attempts to collect evidence as scientifically as possible. One particular piece of equipment alone cannot provide credible evidence. One, or more,  pieces of equipment backs up another. One type of camera, for instance a digital, can add support to a single lens reflex film type or vis versa. EMF detectors add credibility to cold spots, psychic readings, or even the feelings of a team member. When one or the other is experienced we check to see if the Electro Magnetc Field has or is changing at that particular instance.

     At one time, digital cameras were not well accepted in this field. I guess mainly because of pixel problems, when they did not fill in properly and caused anomalies, when it came to “Orbs”, and especially when operating under low light conditions. Even though they could render instant results in seconds after the picture was snapped and, it saved on film and developing costs.

      Now technology has advanced to where this is no longer the problem that it once was especially in the newer and better quality cameras. Along with the “Orb” problem in the older cameras, there was no way to determine if the images were genuine or not. When analyzing photos, there has to be two things the print itself and the negatives. You didn’t have these and with the old digitals and, the pictures were easily altered and changed. You just couldn’t prove if they were authentic. Now do to advancements digital technology, photographs can be authenticated. 

      Up until recently, quality digitals have been hard to afford for most of us. It has been recommended by seasoned veterans in the field that a digital camera with less than 5 megapixels not be used. With 5 megapixels or greater, you get clean and crisp photos and do not have problems with false orbs. You can purchase digitals with a “Night Shot” feature and, all images can be authenticated as reliable as a negative. With the better cameras, is because you have access to Raw Data files. These files are uncompressed and unprocessed and the anomalies can be authenticated and with more detail than a negative. Also, the newer digitals access to the EXIF “Exchangeable information files, information about the images photographed. EXIF is data that is embedded in the image after photographed. It contains information on the camera that took the shot, settings, date and time, if a flash was used and the ISO settings. If someone tries to alter the image, the EXIF data holds this information too. If anyone tries to alter the EXIF data, the image is destroyed. EXIF data makes this a digital negative.

      One thing to keep in mind, however, is that when you are collecting photographic evidence, a 35mm. should always be used in conjunction with a digital to back up your evidence. It’s not a good idea to use one without the other, that’s not to say, however, that the newer digitals can’t be used alone, but it will safeguard credibility if the two are combined.
